About Monica LaFave

I have lived in the Portland area for about 20 years. My journey with Ortho-Bionomy® began with a single session that became a turning point in my life. I realized that healing doesn’t have to be forecful of invasive to be effective; it can be gentle and deeply transformative.

I was drawn not only to the results, but to the philosphy behind the practice working iwth the body’s natural wisdom, rather than trying to control it. That experince sparked a passion in me to learn more and, eventually, to share this work with others.

As a single parent, I raised four neurodivergent children on my own, an experience that shaped my resilience, patience, and a deep appreciation for holisitic well-being. When I am not working, I love spending time in nature, hunting for agates at the beach, paddle boarding, and going for long walks. I also enjoy crocheting, creating art, and caring for my collection of houseplants.

Ortho-Bionomy® is more than just a practice for me, it’s a way of honoring the body’s innate abiilty to heal. I’m passionate about helping others experience the same sense of ease, balance, and self-discovery that first drew me to this work.
