This course will cover the “BIOLOGICAL MODEL OF TRAUMA” and the somatic responses to emotional distress. We now teach with the awareness of the nociceptors within the fascia, which signal the brain to regulate vagal nerve activity. In this way, Fascia is crucial in our approach to working with the nervous system. In Ortho-Bionomy, the body reveals its responses through the reflexes as it releases and discharges trauma, emotional blocks, etc. This class changes our perspectives on physical health and reinforces the psycho/somatic connection, shedding light on why and how bodywork can help an individual release trauma. With so much to cover on this subject, we have extended it to two days. We strongly believe that this information is crucial in understanding why we harbor trauma within our cell tissues, and nervous system, often causing symptoms of PTSD or PTSS. This course can change your life, even if you are not a bodyworker. Please take it to understand yourself and others as we explore compassion for our stories, our wounds, and all the pieces that make us who we are.
